Eligibility and Selection
AWI Academy awards scholarships and sponsored seats to applicants who meet program prerequisites and demonstrate the potential to succeed and contribute to agribusiness outcomes
Eligibility Criteria
Program prerequisites: Each course and bootcamp lists required background, skills, and minimum qualifications on its program page. Applicants must meet those prerequisites to be considered.
Geographic and language: Open to applicants worldwide; some cohorts may prioritize specific regions. Program language requirements are listed per course.
Age and legal status: Applicants must be of legal working age in their country and able to participate in internships or placements as required by the program.
Commitment: Scholarship recipients must commit to program attendance, complete required projects, and, for Internship Scholarships, accept a 3–6 month internship placement if offered.

Selection Principles
Merit: Demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and the quality of submitted materials (CV, project idea, or portfolio).

Diversity of cohorts: AWI seeks balanced cohorts by geography, gender, and role (farmers, managers, technologists, entrepreneurs) to maximize peer learning.
Selection Process and Timeline
Step 1 — Application received: We confirm receipt and send an automated acknowledgement within 24 hours.
Step 2 — Eligibility check: Program prerequisites and documentation are reviewed within 3 business days.
Step 3 — Shortlist: Qualified applicants are shortlisted and invited to a short interview or skills check within 7–14 days.
Step 4 — Final decision: Scholarship and internship awards are communicated within 7 days after interviews. Total review time is typically 14–21 days.
Step 5 — Acceptance and onboarding: Awardees confirm acceptance within 7 days and complete onboarding steps (payment plan setup if applicable, internship agreements, and pre-course tasks).
